MIND-BODY TECHNIQUES:   Mind-Body Techniques affect both the physical and emotional aspects of the body, since the two are intimately connected.  A variety of different approaches can be used to reach the interface between mind and body, including Myofascial Release, CranioSacral, Therapeutic Touch, visualization, and exercises that address the chakras, or body’s energy centers. 

 

Mind-Body Techniques help discharge pent-up emotions that are stored in the body in the form of muscular holding patterns, tension and pain.  Somato-emotional (“body-mind”) release dissipates stress, increases mental clarity, reduces anxiety and pain, enhances health and feelings of well-being.
